Tis the season to give a damn!

Tis the season to give a damn!

Doctors of the WorldThe UK branch of the medical charity Doctors of the World is raising money for their cause by offering their 2016 boxed sets of 4 reality Christmas cards that take the pastoral scenes we all know well of the Christmas story and set them in the modern day. The cards were created by taking traditional Christmas scenes and combining them with actual photos taken this past year in the war-torn Middle East. The cards include titles such as Not A Silent Night and The Star of Bedlam.

The box of 4 cards can be purchased for £10 and shipping to the US is an additional £2.50. You are also asked for an optional further donation to the mission of Doctors of the World during checkout. The online store takes major credit cards.

There is more coverage of these cards on the Doctors of the World Facebook page.

The Episcopal Café seeks to be an independent voice, reporting and reflecting on the Episcopal Church and the Anglican tradition.  The Café is not a platform of advocacy, but it does aim to tell the story of the church from the perspective of Progressive Christianity.  Our collective sympathy, as the Café, lies with the project of widening the circle of inclusion within the church and empowering all the baptized for the role to which they have been called as followers of Christ.

The opinions expressed at the Café are those of individual contributors, and, unless otherwise noted, should not be interpreted as official statements of a parish, diocese or other organization. The art and articles that appear here remain the property of their creators.
