The upcoming film, Noah, is being debate between and among various religious traditions. Religion News Service writes:
In recent years, Hollywood has made a concerted effort to lure religious audiences to the local cineplex with such films as “The Passion of the Christ,” “Son of God” and even dark-horse hits like “Facing the Giants.” And most of the time, it’s worked.
But the upcoming Russell Crowe film “Noah” is stirring different emotions — even concern — as it touches on a beloved Bible story near and dear to people of several faiths.

Wanna see a good “religious” film, then check out, The Great Beauty or in its original title La Grande Bellezza. Or revisit, Jesus Of Montreal or Good Will Hunting.
The important thing to remember is that it is a story, a myth, and not history and Hollywood can and will do what it wants with any story just as Judaism, Christianity and Islam interpret it differently. Apparently the Muslims see it as history as I suspect a great many Christian evangelicals will also and therein will be the rub.
The first time I saw the trailer I mentioned that I would need to brush up on my Hebrew, because I’d missed the battle scene in my studies of Genesis.
