In lighter news, a Roman Catholic Priest has issued an apology for riding a hoverboard during a Christmas Eve Mass. Father Albert San Jose was applauded by his parishioners, but suspended by the Diocese of San Pablo, in the Philippines, on the basis of disrespecting the sacrament.

The tendency of these things to burst into flame may suggest limiting their liturgical use to Pentecost.
LOL!
Don’t we read Matthew 14:22ff (Jesus on the water, Peter in-then-on-the water with Jesus) sometime in August usually in the Matthew cycle? Better timing may have helped.
More like a lounge act; with or without the hoverboard, bad liturgy, but not necessarily “disrepect of the Sacrament” (there is nothing on the altar, the servers seem to be huddled near the sacristry door, and given the choice of song, seems to have been at the conclusion of the Mass). Maybe during the procession would have been a more appropriate use of the hoverboard! 🙂
Sadly, I think the Filipino RC hierarchy over reacted. He lost his parish and has been put in a corner to think about his sins!
