Perhaps, the Evangelicals may get the point many of us non-Evangelical Christians have known for a long time: that Church and State are separate entities. When leaders try to blend the two, nothing but unethical and immoral decisions are made. Benedict XVI rightly says, “Wherever politics tries to be redemptive, it is promising too much. Where it wishes to do the work of God, it becomes not divine, but demonic.”
