The Secretary General of the Anglican Communion has been elected bishop in Ireland. The Rev. Canon Dr. Kenneth Kearon, who has served in his present role since 2004, was elected bishop of Limerick and Killaloe. He succeeds the Rt. Rev. Trevor Williams, who retired in July.
