Is the illumination of the National Cathedral a form of "advertising-driven overconsumption" ? Given the prominence of images of the cathedral's illumination on this website (posted in proximity to this article about GreenFaith), I think this is a fair question. I think the cathedral's illumination is beautiful. But now I wonder about the economic and environmental costs.
