Sunday Social Hour

Twitter and Facebook continue to be the dominant social platforms for sharing news about the Episcopal Church and faith in the wider world. But we're curious, are there other platforms out there where you're discovering communities of faith and conversation? Be sure to let us know so we can keep an eye on them as well.

Twitter's highlights have included live-tweeting from diocesan conventions, including the Bishop election in Minnesota, as well as live tweets from @trinitycleve (Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland) during Bp. Gene Robinson's visit there this week. Among the notable quotes:

What sustains you? I love my diocese. It's the only place I'm not the gay bishop. I'm just the bishop.

Over on the Cafe on Facebook, popular items included God Twitters creation, Baptist theologian defends the common cup (with lots of comments supporting arguments against intinction here, and the Rev. Lauren Stanley's Daily Episcopalian essay More important than Rome, which elicited these Facebook comments.

To see how the Cafe posts generate additional conversation on Facebook, be sure to read through the notes section.
