#3xCharm
Café friends and contributors Dr. Meredith Gould and Canon Dan Webster are getting married today. As people who work to empower sharing the Gospel online, it's not terribly surprising that this will be one of the most "wired" weddings many of us have ever seen.
The blog they're created for the actual ceremony takes its name from the Twitter hashtag they and their friends are using to chat about the event #3xCharm.
The service itself will be streamed on the blog, and there's this note to friends who are attending in person:
"As advocates of using social media wisely and well to serve church and faith, we wish to draw your attention to this note tucked right under information about the organ prelude:Although we ask you to silence your phone,
do feel free to post whatever moves or inspires you!
#3xcharm"
More here.
Congratulations to both of you on this happy day!

Mazel Tov! :-)

Look like, from the response we received from people attending IRL and people who viewed online, that we were able to use social media to enhance rather than detract from the experience of sacred community.
I loved being married at the Episcopal Cathedral of the Incarnation. ALL guests were invited to the table of the Lord and I was blessed beyond measure to see who, during our wedding, participated as One Body.

Can somebody tell me where this entry went? http://www.episcopalcafe.com/lead/faith_and_politics/hypocrisy.html [Should be previous to this one]

[It's really annoying to craft a (somewhat lengthy) response, preview it, and then when I go to post, see "No such entry '15135'"! (Yet when you hit "Previous" on this entry, it's still there. O_o)]
