Who is your God?

In America's Four Gods, authors Paul Froese and Christopher Bader argue that disputes between believers can be traced to differences in beliefs about what God is like. Froese and Bader identify four Gods: the Authoritative God, the Benevolent God, the Critical God, and the Distant God.

Take their God Test to determine which you believe in.

USA Today: Americans' views of God shape attitudes on key issues

As in all of these surveys, it all depends on how you interpret the questions and answers. There were several questions where my answer is not an option. It presumes a different view of God than the one I have. Still, it is interesting.

Benevolent God here.

I actually found the "Images of God" test (linked through the book site) more interesting . . . though I wish there had been more discernibly religious art that was not Judeo-Christian (explicitly or implicitly). I know this is about "America's God" (Dahveed, don't get started! ;-X) . . . but still, respondants' Christianity shouldn't be so quite presumed in the artwork selections.
