Forget the hungry! How about my parking ticket?

USA Today reports on a church in Idaho -- the aptly named Treasure Valley Church of Christ -- whose representatives will be standing in front of City Hall on Dec. 12th with an offer to pay traffic and parking fines up to $10,000.

The Grace Gift Parable giveaway was first held in 2004, when Treasure Valley church leaders doled out nearly $7,500 to delinquent parkers, including one woman who arrived with more than a dozen tickets.

Boise area businesses contributed funds to the project whose aim is meant to demonstrate "how easy it is to receive God's grace."

One source of comment opined:

Can't they get the same message out with sandwiches and hungry people?
