Police raid headquarters of Roman Catholic Church in Belgium
From the BBC:
Belgian authorities have raided the headquarters of the Belgian Catholic Church during an investigation into child sex abuse claims.A spokesman for the Brussels prosecutors' office confirmed that the palace of the Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels had been sealed off.
Police have also raided the home of retired Archbishop Godfried Danneels. ...
A prosecutors' spokesman told AFP news agency that prosecutors had "been informed of accusations denouncing abuse of minors committed by a certain number of Church figures".

It's about time.
The Bishops of Rome have concealed child sexual abuse for decades.
What does it take for people to realize this is worse than the sale of indulgences, the scandal that provoked the Protestant Reformation?
When will someone nail a thousand indictments to the Vatican's door?

There is a really great scene in the movie "a Bridge too far" in which the Robert Redford character is saying the "hail Mary" as his Airborne unit crosses the river under enemy fire to take the bridge.
