ELCA resolution on ordained gay persons passes
Breaking:The ELCA Churchwide Assembly has voted on the third resolution about human sexuality and minsitry which reads
RESOLVED, that the ELCA commit itself to finding a way for people in such publicly accountable, lifelong, monogamous, same-gender relationships to serve as rostered leaders of this church.
It has passed: 559 to 451. A simple majority was required.

Thanks be to God. Now maybe my friend, who was one of many kicked out of Concordia Seminary a month shy of receiving his M.Div. in 1974 for questioning the Missouri Synod's far-right tilt, can finally be ordained.
Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago awarded M.Div.'s to those who were expelled, because the injustice was so obvious.
LC-MS continues to divide families today.

I wonder what the Methodists think of this decision!
