Human Trafficking Day

Today is the world-wide observance of Human Trafficking day, an attempt to draw attention to the increasing problem of slavery, sexual trafficking and child labor. The Lutherans have some very helpful resources posted that are appropriate for congregational use.

From their site:

"Human trafficking, the second largest and fastest growing illegal trade in the world, is modern day slavery where people are in bondage through fraud, force, or coercion. People are taking notice of trafficking and are mobilizing to fight this destructive, pervasive criminal industry. You as a congregational leader can help raise awareness about human trafficking in your congregation and community!"
