Silver Tsunami

New resources are available from The Episcopal Church Older Adult Ministries for ministry in the midst of the "silver tsunami." As the population of the US ages perhaps the Episcopal Church is well positioned for growth in this demographic as well as opportunities for ministry:

Never have so many lived so long. What happens now that the silver tsunami is upon us? Help is coming. Now, after 20 years of talking about aging issues and the church, this will be the first time we can go beyond rhetoric and show people where to go for help.

Downloadable resources for congregations are here.

"Silver Tsunami": SRSLY?!

We honestly expect that nobody from Japan or Indonesia (or anyone who knows or CARES about the people in those places) is going to see this? The hundreds of thousands of dead to tsunamis in the past 10 years, oh-la-dee-dah?!

Slogan FAIL! >:-(
