Dreams of a church

The President of the House of Deputies of the Episcopal Church has requested video submissions from young adults of their "Dreams of Church." This video shares [the] Rev. Ballentine's dream for an Ethiopic Rite within the Episcopal Church, as a vehicle by which the Church can honor the African Identity of many of its flock, through the ancient liturgies and witness of this Ancient African church.

Video about the project and another video here.

Could you tell me just how the house of deputies has requested these videos? I believe the idea is right on the mark, but have no idea just how the house of deputies (as a body) can request anything between meetings. Perhaps it is the President of the HoD, or some other group, or planning group that has asked for the videos. Any ideas?

It is the president of the house who has made the request.

Thanks for the correction Mark - great videos.

This seems appropriate and timely for the Acts reading today. This is an interesting idea. My first thought was that Anglicanism has a direct connection with Celtic rites. Then, I remembered that Prayer D is loosely based on the Mozarabic Rite. If such an endeavor were taken up, there would probably have to adapted some to fit our theology and worship style. It is an interesting idea.
