President shoots hoops at St. Bartholomew's in NYC

Following an appearance on the Letterman Show, President Obama went to the gym at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church to shoot some hoops:

After taping the Letterman show, the president returned to his midtown Manhattan hotel and quietly emerged a while later in gym clothes and a baseball cap. His destination: the church across the street for some basketball with his aides.

From NBCnews:
President Obama exercised his political power Monday evening by shooting some hoops in a Manhattan church -- less than 24 hours before he makes his U.N. General Assembly debut that'll include a meeting Tuesday with the Israeli and Palestinian leaders about stalled Mideast peace negotiations.

President Obama, ... set out on-foot around 5:45 p.m. for the indoor basketball court at Saint Bartholomew's Church on 50th Street.

The President will be making a speech on the environment at the UN.
