Well, it's obviously not where we want to be...

...but I remain convinced that, the sooner we can get past the schismatics and their would-be schism, the sooner we can grow TEC in the Image of Christ, the Head of the Church. Maranatha!

I think those who aren´t as ¨loving of thy neighbor¨ as others often hit the door unhappily...when the FEARFILLED FAITHFUL find their way back to sanity and reality...well, the door will be open, and the light will be on...quiet please, Mass is in progress and The Episcopal Church STILL and FOREVER welcomes EVERYONE (at all levels of Churchlife)...see YOU at the Communion rail!

JC,

If last year's figures is bad, I can contemplate this year's figures would be worse. After all, I would not be surprised if this year's pledge and plate figures are actually down from last year's.

Leonardo,

I think you missed some categories. While I know I probably don't have all the bases covered, either, but here's what I know.

1. Victims of those who aren't "loving thy neighbors". I know some people (as well as myself) actually belong in this category. The result would actually varies. If one has a few friends in the Episcopal Church locally, he/she most likely would stay in the Episcopal Church. However, if one doesn't, he/she most likely would explore other denominations.

2. Anglicans/Episcopalians whose first language IS NOT English... depending on their English levels, they might go to a local church that have people that speak their native language. How long they would stay there would depend on the people.
