The same, only more so

Update: the Diocese of Fort Worth's Standing Committee released a statement around 5 p. m. that does not nearly fit Ruth Gledhill's breathless description. ("Sensational news from the United States.") They have decided to move forward in the pursuit of Alternative Primatial Oversight. In other words, they plan to keep doing what they have been doing. Mark Harris is making a valiant effort to make sense of a recent letter from the Bishop of Pittsburgh, rumors from England's most erratic religion reporter about the Diocese of Fort Worth, and pleas from the Archbishop of Canterbury. Meanwhile we may be free to say something over on Daily Episcopalian in the next few days about the egregious op-ed former Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson wrote in today's Washington Post. But to do so now, would jeopardize our chances of reaching a larger audience.

Of course the Bishop of Pittsburgh is the Moderator of the Network.

Let's puts some dates together.

The Network bishops have previously said they will meet in June and August in advance of the House of Bishops meeting in late September.

They are also going to be at Wycliffe in July.

That's a lot of meeting and traveling. No wonder he's making an appeal for generous contributions.
