Alleged 1960s cover up leads to sex abuse suit

Very sad for me to read this. I've been away from Houston for ten years and knew Jim Tucker when I lived there. The inaction and cover-ups in the Diocese of Texas are unconscionable. Anyone who's taken the Safer Church training would recognise that, even now, the diocese is still using power plays against the abused men, by claiming poverty. Are they serious? And yet, the diocese could afford V&E, one of the most expensive and powerful law firms not only in the state, but in the country. The good ol' boy network is still alive in Texas. - Jay Vos
