Church vandalized, cross and candlesticks returned
The New Haven Register (CT) reports that the cross and candlesticks have been returned to the Episcopal Church of St. Paul and St. James.
The Rev. Alex Dyer, priest in charge of the church at Chapel and Olive streets, posted on Facebook that an altar cross and candlestick were returned.“[The] sexton arrived and found the stolen altar cross and candlestick in a grocery bag on the front door of the steps to the church. Still need to get all the windows fixed,” Dyer wrote.
On Sunday, Dyer preached forgiveness for the person responsible.

Please give full location identification. Though not a Yalie, I assume you mean New Haven, Connecticut as I was married there. But I could be wrong and folks in New Havens in New York, Indiana, Missouri, Vermont, and Michigan might not.
