A great idea over at "Church Marketing Sucks" made us think that we should ask you, wonderful readers of The Episcopal Cafe, "Show us your Easter!" What images, video, sermons, publicity, bulletins, etc. helped to make your church's Easter come alive?

Last week we started something new and asked you to show us your Easter. A handful of you participated and we got a glimpse of what Easter looked like, from marketing materials to the events itself. It’s fun to see what churches are up to.

A thunderstorm caused our power to go out right before the Eucharist during our 10:30 Mass Easter Sunday and we sat in relative darkness. As it were, we had whole bunches of candles already lit and it was nothing but a thing...

Follow this link to see one of my favorite Easter images coming out of the Diocese of Fort Worth. The photo was taken by Lefty Brandon, and it shows Mother ClayOla Gitane lighting the Paschal Candle at Christ the King, one of our parishes that has been displaced from its building by people who have left The Episcopal Church. I think this photo captures the hope, the beauty, and the yearning toward the Light that has enveloped our diocese in the last two-and-a-half years since our former bishop left TEC and tried to take our name and our property with him. In the midst of the litigation, we remain focused on the Light.
