Prophecy gone missing
Yesterday, The Lead reported that Bishop Duncan of the Diocese of Pittsburgh had received a prophecy from The Rev. Mark Stibbe, Rector of St. Andrew's, Chorleywood, in the Diocese of St. Alban's, England. Today it seems the issue of Trinity Magazine containing Bishop Duncan's comments and the prophecy have been pulled from the Diocesan web site.
The prophecy and Bishop Duncans's repsonse generated a great number of responses on church listserves and blogs.
A video of Mark Stibbe (Evangelicals in the UK do not use Father as a title) is here.
A biography is here.
Andrew Gerns writes on the prophecy here.
Mark Harris comments here.
UPDATE: April 8
Prophecy mystery solved - the issue of Trinity has returned - it seems it was a techno error. See issue here.
HT to Lionel Deimel,

I've got the original document, but my hosting site can't handle large pdf files.
If you want it, or know some place that can host it, let me know.

From a friend who studies these things:
OY G'VEIGH... Of course I am not a big time prophesying bishop or anything but it seems to me that anyone who recognizes 8 as the ordinal value of Chet would also be aware that this is the year 5768 not 2008. That's just how it seems to me.
Furthermore the simple reduced value of 2008 is 10 which corresponds more closely to Yud. The reduced value of 5768? THAT is 8.
A further reduction of 2008 is 1 which corresponds to Aleph and may explain why the good bishop seems to be out of his mind. Aleph is about things out of this world, prior to creation, and utterly incomprehensible.
To say that Chet refers to a gateway is simplistic to the point of inaccuracy. It is a gateway to infinity, a thin passage between worlds. But, the true mystical meaning of Chet can't be properly discerned without considering carefully the two letters proceeding it, the Vav and Zayn. Write down a Chet and take a close look at it. What do you see? that's right, a Vav and a Zayn. The thin line connecting them has to do with hovering, as in the Spirit of G-d hovering over the earth at creation, touching but not touching. It's hovering that is the mystical aspect of Chet. Is it a sort of gateway? Well, yes. Yes most definitely. ALL the letters of the aleph-bet are a gateway to something... every single one

Not to take away from the fun you all are obviously having with this article, but I actually inadvertantly broke the link when I was posting the April issue of TRINITY yesterday afternoon. It is fixed now. Maybe while you are visiting, you could take a moment to get beyond page 2 and learn a little bit about the whole diocese of Pittsburgh.

Dear Peter,
Thanks for letting us at ECafe know. As I suspected the bad link was inadvertent.
