Consecration of the 9th bishop of Wyoming

The ordination of John Smylie as the next bishop of Wyoming is going to be streamed online beginning at 1 PM MDT today.

This announcement was sent out to the people of the diocese very early this morning by email:

Episcopalians from around the region are converging on Casper for Saturday's Consecration of John Sheridan Smylie as the 9th Bishop of Wyoming. The service is at the Casper Events Center and begins at 1 p.m. -- a reception immediately follows.

For those of you who cannot make the trip to Casper, the festivities will be broadcast LIVE on the internet at www.ustream.tv/channel/smylie-consecration

Congratulations to all who have worked to make this day such a happy occasion for all. Apparently the Café's own Ann Fontaine is serving as the Minister (Master) of Ceremony for the liturgy. See if you can spot her!

Just before the service began Ann came out to checkout the seats in front of the dais.

Go for it Ann.
