Clarity from a (Methodist) Bishop

After the last item about a faithful member of the Methodist community, it seems appropriate to follow up with a story about a faithful Methodist bishop - Bruce R. Ough, resident Bishop of the Ohio West Area of The United Methodist Church, who sent a word of welcome by letter to the Sing a New Song conference in Huron, Ohio.

Sing a New Song, organized by progressive Methodist organizations, was held in order "to plan ways to welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people into the church."

Bishop Ough's letter, read by Rev. David Meredith, didn't equivocate; rather, as a quick Google search of his name points out, it was in keeping with the tenor of his ministry with regard to radical inclusion.

Hit play.
