Gledhill says Williams' resignation is likely

In an interview on William Crawley's Sunday Sequence program on BBC Radio Ulster, Ruth Gledhill, religion correspondent of The Times of London said she believes reports indicating that Rowan Williams will resign as Archbishop of Canterbury next year. Gledhill said that in the past, Lambeth Palace has vigorously denied rumors that the archbishop would resign, but that in this case they refused to comment. She has some informed speculation about who might succeed the archbishop.
