The opinions of Orombi
Archbishop Henry Orombi of Uganda, a critic of the Episcopal Church, will be visiting the September meeting of the House of Bishops in his role as a member of the Standing Committee of the Anglican Primates Meeting. Recently he expressed a few opinions about sex and money to New Vision, a Ugandan Web site.

Oh, this is really great: He said it was the Christians’ duty to cater for the welfare of church leaders... "God’s messengers ... need to dress decently because we are marketers of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Yup, this is going to make a real impression on our bishops.

Yes, that struck me -- "He said it was the Christians’ duty to cater for the welfare of church leaders." I rather thought it was the other way around.

There are reports at Stand Firm and other locations that Archbishop Orombi has stated that he will *not* be attending the HOB meeting.
