Nuns in Zimbabwe who received Archbishop WIlliams threatened

The Zimbabwean reports that thugs blocked Archbishop Williams and his delegation from entering the diocese premises. The side entrance to the cathedral was locked as well.

They were allowed into the orphanage by a group of nuns, to whom they delivered toys and gifts for the children. Before leaving, they assured the nuns that they would assist them in their good work as best they could. But afterwards, things got even uglier:

After Williams and his delegation left the church under police escort, a group of hired thugs who were bussed in from Mutare besieged the orphanage and harassed the nuns. The nuns were forced to denounce Archbishop Williams and were told that Kunonga was still in charge and they should respect him if they still wanted to live on the premises.
The women were labelled homosexuals and insulted by the rowdy youths.
“Kill us if you want. We are ready to die. You can kill our body, but not our minds,” said one of the nuns in tears.
The bag of donations by Archbishop William was confiscated by the youths, but was later handed back after the intervention of one of the Kunonga reverends.

The nuns have been threatened with eviction if they continue to support Archbishop Williams.

An Anglican Covenant won't resolve these issues. Only going back into the dark ages will....

Say more, Chris. How is the communion more helpful than international fellowships among Presbyterians, for example, that would look very much the same, or ecumenical bodies that frequently engage in companionship visits, accompaniment, etc.?
