Central Africa did not sign CAPA Primates statement

Rewritten for clarity: Contrary to reports in the press last weekend, while a number of Primates of CAPA signed a statement that called for harsher discipline of Provinces that the Primates disagree with, at least one Primate said to have signed the document didn't.

As Simon Sarmiento points out on Thinking Anglicans, the Church Times article (a story the Café noted here) makes clear that earlier reports need a slight bit of correction:

"The Province of Central Africa is listed as a signatory to the Primates’ document, which is declared to have been “agreed upon by the primates and the representatives of primates who were not able to attend”. It was confirmed on Wednesday, however, that Central Africa had not signed."

There is no Primate of Central Africa at the moment.
