Judge blocks Ugandan tabloid anti-gay photos

CNN reports that a Ugandan judge has "temporarily ordered a tabloid in Uganda to stop publishing lists identifying people it claims are gay after an advocacy organization filed a lawsuit."

The order came a day after Rolling Stone -- which has no relation to the iconic U.S. music magazine -- published a list of people it said were gay, urging readers to report them to police.

In the last edition, the newspaper promised to list 100 of what it called the country's top gays. The first edition listed several gays and lesbians, with photos and addresses alongside a yellow banner reading "hang them."

Incitement to murder ("Hang them!") is never Christian or moral.

Christ Jesus,
keep those who claim your name
ever mindful and never forgetful
that you did not tell the religion-driven mob
to kill the adulterous woman,
but instead shielded her from them
and refused to let them cast their stones at her --
and remind them again and again
that if they fail to do the same as you did,
but seek to kill "sinners" and "outcasts,"
they are not following your example
and do no credit your to name,
but are breaking your commandments
and serving evil instead.
Amen.
