The devil offered Jesus all the power and wealth in the world, and Jesus refused it (Luke 4:5-8). Yet Pat Robertson and his ilk glory in power and wealth. So who’s made a pact with the devil? Jesus taught: “Do not store up riches for yourselves here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal. Instead, store up riches for yourselves in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and robbers cannot break in and steal. For your heart will always be where your riches are.” (Matthew 6:1-21). All of Mr. Robertson’s riches and the hubris they bring out in him show where his heart is — and it’s not with God.

For years now, I have been sending Pat Robertson (along with a few others) regular emails telling him that God wants him to shut up but I don’t think Mr. Robertson is listening.
