N. T. Wright: another possibility

In the posting just below I suggested that the Rt. Rev. N. T. Wright, Bishop of Durham, noted Scripture scholar, etc. was either supremely egotistical or brutally calculating in sending a 4,400+ word critique of our two-month old Special Commission's report to our Convention just a few hours before the last public hearing on the resolutions contained in that report. I think perhaps I was being harsh.

It is also possible that he is criminally naive.

Well I appreciate your ability to recognize that there may be other possibilities out there. Time for an X-Files reference, I guess. Did you know my dog is named Scully?

Yes, Mr. Naughton, you were being very harsh. Your paranoia over the AAC and Howard Ahmanson is revealing (and comical, by the way).

I recognize that this blog is where you can voice your own opinion, but surely your journalistic training, not to mention your principles of inclusivity and charity to all, might have caused you to pause before you accused Bishop Wright of trying to "meddle" in the affairs of the ECUSA.

And you have not helped your case by that last line which you posted. You still wind up sounding like a petulant little boy who is afraid he will not get his way.

Bishop Wright was trying to be helpful, in case you could not decipher that out of 4400+ words, Mr. Naughton. The least you could have done was say thank you.

I am signing my name to this in the spirit of openness and transparency.
