Episcopal Majority, which describes itself as "a grassroots organization committed to the values and vitality of The Episcopal Church" that works to "neutralize the negative influence of the American Anglican Council (AAC), the Anglican Communion Network (ACN), and related groups" is holding its first national gathering at St. Columba's Church in northwest Washington, D. C. on Friday November 3 and Saturday November 4.

Bishop Jon Bruno of Los Angeles will be the featured speaker on Friday.

An agenda and online registration are here. A statement of pruprose and a partial list of supporters are here. Mark Harris, who I seem to be linking to a lot today, has an excellent post on the importance of the meeting here.

The Episcopal Majority? Even their name is a false claim, they are nothing of the sort. They need to be honest and rename themselves The Anglican Minority. This is the same group of liberals that belong to Integrity,Oasis, etc. etc, etc.....Susan Russell, Michael Hopkins etc. nothing new.

An Organization that says it works to "neutralize the negative influence of the American Anglican Council (AAC), the Anglican Communion Network (ACN), and related groups"

Really? So it is the AAC and the ACN and related groups that are the negative influence on TEC. The spin is complete.

Lets talk negatives Question: Who brought this to the church? Why is our membership declining at the rate of 700 a week ? Why are many episcopal churches in financial distress? Who publically stated we are not of one mind on the issues? Who was warned not to proceed ?
Hint: It was not the AAC.
