Refresher course

Father Jake is teaching a refresher course. Me, I am still puzzling over reports that a signficant number of our bishops were unaware of the material he is covering until the task force on property disputes put it in front of them.

As I observed over there, Lambeth I.10 was adopted in order to set the stage for this schism. That was nearly 10 years ago. There is no way that any Church leadership could not be aware of the gist of the data Jake summarizes without being culpably ignorant. I have a feeling that it was more a lack of political will, or perhaps they were just to tired and needed some fresh blood to take this on.

Come on Jim - There's a fascinating book to be written about this stuff. History is calling.

Jim,

You can lead a bishop to information but you can't make 'em read!
