What Is This Wisdom?

They said, “Where did this man get all this? What is this wisdom that has been given to him? What deeds of power are being done by his hands! Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him. (Mark 6:2b-3)

Ah, unless my eyes deceive me, that's haystack rock off the Oregon coast. It's so beautiful there. So much so that when I took my beautfiul Sara there (the first time she'd seen our pacific coast, the poor midwesterner) shortly after this past Christmas, the beauty of the day and the scene had her convinced I was going to propose!

Thanks for starting my day off with thoughts of the pacific northwest!

Yes it is Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, OR. The photographer is Jim Fontaine with whom I am celebrating 47 years of marriage today -- thanks Robin.

Oh -- looking more closely - I see another photographer has the same subject as the cover of Streams of Mercy. nevermind LOL

Happy Anniversary to Ann and Jim!!
